The Research Committee on the Sociology of Law (RCSL) is part of the International Sociological Association (ISA) and will be hosted for its 2026 Annual Meeting by Diego Portales University (Universidad Diego Portales, UDP) in Santiago de Chile from August 31 to September 3, 2026.
The 2026 RCSL Conference, focused on the theme of the democratic rule of law in world society, aims to address global socio-legal issues in a comprehensive manner. The conference seeks to engage scholars from various regions of the world to discuss the foundations, history, present status, and future projections of the rule of law. It will also explore different variants of the rule of law in contemporary society.
